What does a treatment involve?

Treatments begin with a comprehensive medical intake so that the practitioner has a full understanding of your body’s current state. The pulse, tongue and abdomen are observed to complete the diagnostic picture. The treatment is geared specifically to your unique condition, and it is performed while you rest on a table in a state of deep relaxation.

A course of treatment typically involves six to twelve sessions of acupuncture, cupping, tuina massage, and herbal medicine. Relief often begins with the first few treatments. Individual treatment plans are discussed and evaluated with the patient. Treatment may also include dietary recommendations.

Phone and Skype consultations are available for international and out-of-state patients. A diagnosis is made and herbal medicine is prescribed and sent to the patient.

What is the cost of treatment?

The initial consultation with treatment is $225 and follow-up visits are $125.  Phone consultations are available for out-of-state and international patients. The cost for a phone consultation and herbal formula prescription is $195.

Will my insurance pay for acupuncture?

In the state of California, Acupuncture is an essential health benefit and insurance plans cover treatments. Call your insurance provider to find out the details of your coverage. We bill directly to most major health insurance companies for reimbursement. We can also provide a superbill, which the patient submits to their insurance company for reimbursement. We also accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. For those without insurance, we are able to offer a discount.
